In 2004, the former banker Andreas Theiner started making wine here in Plars, just above Lagundo, and over the years has brought the business back from fruit-growing to viticulture. The "again" comes from the fact that his grandfather already cultivated and developed wines here.
The witnesses of this former activity are still all hidden in the ancient, deep cellars of the castle. These can be reached via a steep staircase, which is flanked by two huge cypress trees that are over a hundred years old.

A real smorgasbord of equipment from many decades of viticulture can be admired here, old wine bottles, as well as relics from the time of the fascist takeover of South Tyrol by Italy are spread over several rooms.
Here is also the barrique cellar, where the holy of holies, wines like the fruity Sauvignon Marzan with its light pompelmo note and the dark, purple Lagein- Merlot Yhrn are aged and stored.
